About Me

Who am I?

Christian

I am thankful I have been a Christian since my senior year in high school. I made a profession of faith in a country field while on a church leadership retreat with the youth group.

Wife

My husband and I met right after I turned forty years old. I had dated wonderful men before him, but was not ready to be a wife to anyone until I met Jdaniel3. He is a detail man that helps me see the trees in the forest and thank God for them.

Mom

Many people over forty struggle to start a family. We were blessed to have JDaniel a year and half after we got married. He is now three and has brought new dimensions to my life. JDaniel teaches me about love and life daily.

I would love to say I am a stay at home mom, but we are forever out visiting the library, friends, parks and museums. We are home afternoons and evenings, but are learning and exploring most mornings.

South Carolina Resident

While teaching school in Virginia, I also worked as an educational trainer for a large telecommunications company. One of the places I traveled to do a training was South Carolina. The first training was frustrating and did not go as I planned. Thankfully the second training went much better. The wonderful teachers attending the training made me see that South Carolina was filled with amazing people.

When I met my husband and found out he was living in South Carolina, I was thrilled. I knew that I would be living a wonderful state with wonderful people. (I am guessing the first group of teachers was just having a bad day.) It made it much easier to leave my home state of Virginia.

Teacher

I taught for almost twenty years second grade, third grade , and technology integration in Northern Virginia. After getting married and moving to South Carolina, I taught one year of second grade. I have degrees in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Reading from colleges in Virginia

Writer

I have always told stories. My dad bought me a tape recorder to tell stories into when I was in elementary school. Thankfully stories come pretty easily to me. Jdaniel requests them often when we are in the car.

Beyond writing fiction I have enjoyed chronicling JDaniel's adventures, mom lessons I have learned, reviewing new products, sharing products through giveaways, and a whole host of other types of writing.

Explorer of New Things

Before I got married I explored several countries in Europe and Africa along with over half of the United States.

Now I find myself exploring upstate South Carolina and things that arrive at our home. We love to try new foods and products in our home. As a family we try to eat healthy foods and not have our closet buldge too badly.
