Muffin Tin Monday- Hopping You Had a Wonderful Easter

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. Today's tin hoppingly filled with bunnies. JDaniel had bunny cheese toast along with turkey, mango, banana slices and pickles on bunny picks. Half of a dyed egg also made it into this tin.

The picks came from a game the Muffin Tin Mom mentioned was available at Dollar Tree. We have never tried picks before and JDaniel really enjoyed them.

I had hoped to use the picks to convince JDaniel to eat turkey sandwich meat again. He has had turkey sandwiches for lunch for months and loved them. He has decided turkey is not good. He has decied most meat is not good. JDaniel has alwasy been a hearty eater of almost everything I give him. I hope this is just a stage.

Did your children go through a stage where they stopped liking certain foods?

  1. What a cute bunny tray of food.

My toddler changes what she likes to eat daily. It drives me crazy because it makes it really hard to buy food for her.

  2. Pierce goes through days where he doesn't like certain food. Then the next day he'll eat it. I never get it.

  3. Oh good lord, my daughter went through "a stage" (if you can call it that when it lasts almost two years!) where she wouldn't eat MOST things... She's been getting steadily better with it over the last year, and recently has suddenly decided she likes a whole lot of things she has been refusing to eat for years - so don't give up - there is hope!!
Also: Love your bunny cheese toast! Is it melted on? Looks like the bread's shape was made for that bunny cutter!

  4. Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :) My eldest daughter, now 16, became a BIGTIME picky eater early on. Not to get you all concerned but it actually can become a problem if you don't address it early, because your family won't be able to just sit down and have a nice meal together which can be very frustrating for mommy! If I had to do it all again, I would not cater to her like I did, and do more research on how to deal with it head on b4 it got out of hand! She's a great kid but she's still a VERY picky even today! Get a good book on it!! Good luck & let us know what you learn!! :)

  5. Yes, they did and it always sort of surprised me! This year, they admitted they really aren't big fans of Ham and I had wanted to get an Easter Ham since we really only do ham once a year. I wasn't going to get a spiral ham if they weren't going to enjoy it. I was bummed b/c I was looking forward to it. These are kids who eat ham sandwiches, btw!! LOL!!

  9. Hi! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I will defiantly stop by, Wednesday, for your toy post.
I can totally relate to your son and meat. My 3 year old will not hardly eat meat. She used to like it a little more. However, I do think kids go through phases. Testing the boundaries...

  11. I love the bunny cheese toast. And those picks really are cute! I know someone else asked, but did you just put the shaped cheese on bread and put it under the broiler or something? I completely forgot to give Ashlyn one of the hardboiled eggs she colored. I might have to try it tomorrow to see if she likes it.

  17. That Bunny Cheese Toast is a fabulous idea! My kids have gone through similar stages but generally aren't so picky when it comes to food.

Hop you had a wonderful Easter, too!
