The Sock Fairy Book and Audio CD Review and Giveaway

The Sock Fairy is a wonderful book by Bobbie Hinman with pictures by Kristi Bridgeman. It tells the tale of what happens to some of our socks. A little fairy sneaks into homes with his side kick a mouse. He will take some socks and others he will hide around your house. The fairy will resize some socks so that he can wear them on his head or feet. He loves to use them to skate around on the floor. Some of the socks will be taken to his house to be used as napkins, rugs, towels, and more.

The Sock Fairy is told in rhyme. The rhymes are fun and slip easily off your tongue. The illustrations are whimsical and colorful. They add more details to what is explain to us in the story. I love the brightly colored socks shown throughout the book.

Children will enjoy reading about what happens to the socks. There may be some that get concerned about the fact the sock fairy can enter your house while it is locked up tight. They are the same ones that have concerns about Santa delivering presents inside their house at night. The author does mention at the beginning of the story that it may not be true. That may settle some anxieties in children and parents too.
This fun book comes with a CD that contains the story along with The Fairy Song. I love stories children can listen along with.

The author has also written The Belly Button Fairy, The Knot Fairy, and The Fart Fairy.
