All day yesterday it got colder and colder. By last night the weather department of our local news kept cutting into prime time television to show the heavy snow in North Carolina. We waited and watched to see snow start here in South Carolina. About ten o’clock the zinging, pinging, and tinging started. We didn’t get snow here. We got freezing rain. It has been bouncing off the windows all night. JDaniel has been making noises through the monitor. My husband and I have been tossing and turning. It is hard to sleep through freezing rain.

oohh... That just SOUNDS cold! Here we have beautiful sunny skies, which definitely makes London a MUCH colder place than when it's overcast! I think just stay snuggled up in bed today! Stopping by from SITS!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog through SITS. Wrap up and keep warm. Also have fun. Regards.xxx
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I hope you don't have to go out and drive in that!! So dangerous! Stay warm!!!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had an ice storm in ages...I love the sound of the ice hitting the window (when I know everyone is safe and sound at home). Your package left yesterday on its way to you...sure hope it finds you before the 14th.
ReplyDeletewe did not get frozen rain but 6 inches of snow instead
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not iced in, but I love your zing, ting, ping description! Sending warm thoughts your way...
ReplyDeleteWe've had rain in the Midlands, but not freezing rain. Just a little bit of a drizzle. The news was saying how awful the weather was going to be today and the roads wouldn't be in good driving condition, but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as they predicted.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Partner and welcome back for Friday Follow! I am already following and stopping over to say hello. Happy weekend!

"I love the disposible diapers! I am not great with laundry. I don't know that could do cloth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by."
Thanks for the comment! I am not good with laundry either, so I am still wondering which diapers to choose! I may do a little of both!
Yikes about your ice storm! I am from New Hampshire, so we got those a lot growing up, but it's been awhile now since I have moved from there. Hope you don't lose power!!
Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteFreezing rain is noisy. We had some a couple of days ago and it kept waking up my son.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me on my SITS day!
I've never experienced freezing rain before we just get buckets of the liquid variety up here ;)
ReplyDeleteI love pics like this... but not the unsafe conditions of it all...
