There was a time when I could eat JDaniel with a spoon and there was very little clean up. That time has passed and now he feeds himself everything. Yes, oatmeal, applesauce, spaghetti, sweet potatoes, and peas end up in JDaniel and on the floor. To prevent having to wash the floor everyday an item like a splat mat is ideal. Oilcloth is so practical!
You can use it inside on the kitchen table for messy crafts or baking projects with the kids or put it on the floor to catch messes from under a highchair or booster seat. You can even take it outside on the deck or grass to contain the kid's messes to one area...well, you can try anyway! Oilcloth wipes clean very easily and is not machine washable.
Mat is a single layer of oilcloth with a simple hemmed edge for durability.
